My name is Marcus and I am an ABC (American born Chinese), born and raised in California my whole life currently living in Lake Forest. I graduated UCSD with an International Studies major, class of 2011, and, unfortunately, I had no desire to join any campus ministries while I was in school. Shortly after I graduated, God changed my heart for him and my faith exploded. I have been to missions 3 times all to Taiwan, teaching English and preaching the Gospel in Changhua, and collaborating with a halfway house for addicts called Agape House as well as visiting prisons and jails to share the Gospel with the inmates in Hualien. God has fired up my soul for missions and the Great Commission. Revival Generation is a place where I learned so much about the global need for missions It trained and prepared me for my calling in ministry.
Q1 Who made an impact in your life to help you grow closer to Christ?
One person who made a huge impact in my life at the time was a youth pastor who was literally thrown into youth ministry because of the need. This pastor, Owen, determined that building honest, authentic relationships was going to be the core of his ministry and heart. He noticed that my heart was hungry for authenticity and pointed me towards Jesus.
